Lady Eagles Stymied by Jarrell

by Mike Organ

Lexington failed to score in the first quarter, and fell down 24-0, before making a basket, with 4:55 left in the second quarter. The young ladies bounced back to score 10 more points in the quarter to make the score 32-12 at half time.

The Lady Eagles were competitive after the initial nightmare. Mackenzie Brown and Madison Bexley both scored in double figures. Brown had 13, and Bexley had 11.

Lexington is high on hustle and desire, but short on manpower. They are bringing along two freshmen slowly as they go through the district. Both freshmen, Kasey Smith and Megan Sanders, are showing well in their court time.

The Lady Eagle JV lost to Jarrell 37-26. Bliss Brewer and Sanders were the leading scorers with six each.
