Sheriff’s Report

January 30, 2012

A motorist reported that a truck pulling a trailer turned too short off CR 119 onto FM 141 and the trailer was in the ditch and the truck was blocking FM 141 traffic. Deputy Allen was dispatched and assisted with traffic control until the vehicle was moved.

Deputy Rudolph was dispatched to FM 141 after a caller reported cows out between Hwy 21 and CR 420. The cows were already off the roadway before he arrived.

Chief Deputy Lapham and Deputy Rudolph assisted a subject on CR 409. The neighbors had a problem with their animals.

A caller reported cows out on FM 3403 near CR 449. Deputy Skinner responded to the call and removed them from the roadway.

A Burleson County Trooper requested assistance in locating a white truck with Oklahoma plates that was reported to be driving recklessly on Hwy 21 near the county line. Deputy Skinner assisted. The vehicle was located on Hwy 21 but the driver checked out ok.

Deputy Carvin and Deputy Skinner were dispatched to a disturbance on CR 312 in Lexington. A caller reported that her daughter was intoxicated and had punched her in the face and left. A report was taken.

January 31, 2012

A complainant entered the lobby and requested to speak to a deputy regarding a problem she was having with someone harassing her. Deputy Liles spoke to her and gave her recommendations on how to handle the problem.

Several motorists reported cows out on CR 405 approx 2 miles west of Hwy 77. Deputy Skinner was dispatched and removed the cow from the roadway. The owner was contacted.

February 1, 2012

Dispatch received a 9-1-1 silent call. Deputy Carvin was dispatched to the residence on CR 204 to make sure everything was ok. Subjects were having phone problems.

A Lexington school bus was attempting to turn around on CR 303 to pick up a student she had passed and got stuck in the roadway and was blocking traffic. Deputy Rudolph assisted at the scene with traffic control.

A motorist reported two subjects walking westbound on Hwy 290 near Hills. Deputy Liles was dispatched and located the subjects. They got a ride to Houston.

Deputy Rudolph and Deputy Ayres were dispatched to speak with a complainant on CR 414 in Lexington. Complainant stated that his niece’s son broke into his shed and destroyed a motorized wheelchair. A report was made.

Dime Box I.S.D. reported that they had a juvenile attempting to commit suicide by cutting himself with a razor. Deputy Liles responded to the call. MHMR and EMS were also dispatched. A report was taken and investigation continues on this case.

A caller reported that she was involved in an accident on Hwy 21 near the K&C Quick Stop. She advised that she was injured and needed an ambulance. Deputy Rudolph and Deputy Ayres assisted with traffic control. Dime Box Fire Dept assisted and a Burleson County Trooper did the crash report.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female requesting a deputy respond to her residence on CR 432 in Dime Box. Chief Deputy Lapham, Deputy Ayres and Deputy Rudolph responded. The subject on scene told them that there had been a fight, but that everyone had left and he did not know the names of the people who were involved.

A citizen on PR 5000 in Ledbetter called and reported that 3 subjects were outside throwing rocks at her trailer. Deputy Carvin and Deputy Skinner spoke to the complainant who appeared to be intoxicated. No one else was in the area.

February 2, 2012

A caller reported that she was on her way home and she believed her ex-husband was following her. Dispatch asked if she could still see the vehicle behind her and she stated that he was no longer behind her. Deputy Crockett spoke to the complainant and told her what the next step will be and a report will be made.

Deputy Ayres and Deputy Allen assisted Trooper Weiser at the scene of an accident on Hwy 21 near FM 3403. Two vehicles hit two large hogs that were in the roadway. There were no injuries.

February 3, 2012

Washington County requested assistance in locating a man that was reported to be walking out of the woods with a gun and a Bible on Hwy 21. Deputy Ayres, Deputy Liles and Deputy Rudolph searched Hwy 21.

A motorist reported a one vehicle accident on Hwy 21 between CR 114 and CR 440 in Dime Box. The caller stated that the vehicle spun out of control and went through a fence. Deputy Rudolph took the crash report.

Multiple callers reported a two vehicle accident on Hwy 21 at the bridge near FM 3403. One caller stated that a SUV hit a truck and the truck went over the bridge. The driver of the truck was able to get out, but was in a lot of pain. Chief Deputy Lapham, Deputy Rudolph, Deputy Liles, Deputy Ayres assisted Trooper Manner at the scene.

Deputy Ayres was dispatched to Hwy 21 in an attempt to locate an 18 wheeler that was throwing sparks. The truck was located, but everything was ok.

A caller reported that the arms at the railroad crossing on FM 448 were down and there was not a train. Deputy Ayres went to the crossing and Union Pacific was notified.

February 4, 2012

A complainant reported that two young guys were outside on FM 141 arguing. Deputy Skinner and Deputy Carvin responded, but advised no one was in the area.

A motorist reported that there was a barricade in the roadway on Hwy 77 at Hwy 21. Deputy Carvin located the barricade and got it off the road.

Deputy Liles was dispatched to a disturbance at a residence on FM 2240. The caller stated that he was having an argument with his neighbor over a propane tank. The incident was a civil matter and all parties involved were advised to get an attorney.

Deputy Rudolph assisted with a civil stand by at a residence on FM 141 in Dime Box so that the caller could collect his property as per a court order.

A caller requested an ambulance on CR 226 because he was attempting to shoot a snake and he accidentally shot himself in the leg. Deputy Liles met the subject at the hospital and took a report.

Deputy Skinner assisted with traffic control at the scene of an accident on Hwy 77 @ 5th St. in Lexington.

A caller reported that there was an intoxicated female in his house and she was hitting him and refusing to leave. Deputy Carvin and Deputy Skinner responded. The female stayed somewhere else for the night.

February 5, 2012

A caller reported that a vehicle was broken down in the road on CR 329 in Lincoln. He advised one of the wheels came off and he had it at his house. Deputy Skinner and Deputy Carvin checked on the vehicle and advised that the vehicle was parked in the owner’s driveway.

Onstar called the Sheriff’s Office and reported that the emergency button was activated on a 2012 Chevrolet on CR 322 in Lexington. Dispatch spoke to the vehicle owner and he advised his daughter must have accidentally pressed it.

Deputy Carvin searched Hwy 77 near CR 114 for a dark green F250 truck that was reported to be driving all over the roadway.

A motorist reported cows out on CR 204 @ CR 205. Deputy Carvin located the cow and it ran into the woods.
