Lexington FFA Members Shine at Cow Town Stock Show
This past week, the Lexington FFA had several students that exhibited steers at the Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. There were 2,800 steer entries that participated in one of the largest shows in the state of Texas. While these students were there, they had an extremely good week, making close to $50,000 dollars for their show projects.
Caroline Heller exhibited the Grand Champion Angus Steer, which was one of the final six in the Grand Champion Drive.
Her older brother, Henry Heller, had the 3rd place middle-weight division American Cross behind the soon to be grand champion American steer.
Kayla Boettcher had a 10th place American Cross. Kristen Boettcher had the 13th place Shorthorn steer, which came out of the Grand and Reserve Grand division Shorthorn class.
Other Lexington students that participated at this competitive stock show were Raimond French, Clay Boettcher, Cody Morgan, Jacob Warner, and Rachael Beard. Congratulations to all of these students for their hard work.
