The Lexington Middle School Lady Eagles traveled to Cameron on Thursday, January 26, to take on the Middle School Lady Yoe. The 8B team tipped off first and quickly rattled off 8 points before Cameron was able to counter with a single 2 point shot. The first period ended 10-2 Lexington. In the second period, Cameron started the scoring with 6 points, while Lexington added 4 more, sending the girls into half time with Lexington leading 14-8.

The third period had Cameron score a single basket, while Lady Eagles #29 Shakora Latimar and # 22 Case Faske scored for Lexington, making the new score 19-10 Lexington.

The final period was a complete defensive struggle with a single basket being scored by Lexington’s Latimar from a #40 Chelseye Hammond pass. The 8B Middle School Lady Eagles won the game 21-10.

Scoring for the Eagles were: 1 from #22 Casey Faske; 2 each from #35 Meagan Gonzalez, #50 Makayla Woodward and # 55 Sunny Adams; High point scorer for the game was #20 Shakora Latimar with 14 points.
