Matthew Robert Stence

October 16, 1990 - January 27, 2012

Matthew Robert Stence was born on October 16, 1990 in Katy, Texas to Robert Walter and Jennifer Lee Freeman Stence. He was a life-long resident of Katy, and graduated from Katy High School in 2009.

Matthew Robert Stence passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012, at his home in Katy, at the age of 21 years.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Jennifer Stence of Katy; sisters, Sarah Danna and her husband Christopher of Lexington, Texas, and Ellen Stence of Katy; grandparents, Doug and Susie Freeman of Lexington, Texas and Shelby and Jeanette Stence of Lexington, Texas; great grandmother, Leona Freeman of Katy; nephew, Cole Danna, niece, Ansley Danna; aunts and uncles, Tim and Glenda Stence, Theresa Stence, Lauren and Kelly Dyer, Allison and Robbie Callegari, Shannon and Russell Heller; lots of cousins; girlfriend, Holly Ridgway of Katy; special friends, Brett and Connie Ridgway; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Matthew was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all his friends and family.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Memorial Lutheran Church, in Katy, with Rev. John F. Davis, Jr. and Rev. Mel Newman officiating. A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Freeman Family Cemetery in Lexington with Rev. Leif Hasskarl officiating.
