Eagle Nation’s Junior Varsity Fall to the Thorndale Dogs

The JV Lady Eagles got things going Friday night in the A.P. Kleinschmidt gym when the Eagles hosted the Buffaloes of Florence. The Lady JV Eagles had a nice run and were able to come away with a 29-17 win. Lexington’s Meagan Sanders pushes past the Lady Buff.

The Eagle Nation Junior Varsity traveled to Thorndale on Tuesday evening, January 17, to take on the Bulldogs. The game was fast paced, very physical and completely owned by Thorndale.

The Bulldogs held Lexington scoreless until the third period when Lexington’s #30 Breyland Chism was able to make two free throws. The new score was 31-2 Thorndale.

Thorndale went on to win the game by a score of 47- 10. Lexington had no answer for the Bulldogs, as well as sending two Eagles to the bench with five fouls each.

Lexington scored three twopoint baskets and made four free throws. Scoring for the Lexington JV were: two by #30 Breyland Chism and four each by # 24 Marcus Cassassa and #33 Walt Green.
