The Giddings Public Library offers a good variety of non-fiction books. The Guide to Good Health for Teens and Adults with Down Syndrome by Brian Chicoine and Dennis McGuire Ph.D., covers the complete scope of healthcare and wellness needs for adolescents and adults. Wind Power; 20 Projects to Make With Paper by Clive Dobson surveys the history of wind power and windmills; outlines the science that makes them work, and provides instructions for increasingly difficult projects that demonstrate each principle. Perfect Table Settings by Denise Vivaldo provides table-setting suggestions for various menus and occasions, features step-bystep, illustrated instructions for one hundred napkin folds and includes ideas for twenty-five theme party table settings. Bad Advice; Bush’s Lawyers in the War On Terror by Harold H. Bruff reveals wiretapping of American citizens and waterboarding foreign prisoners. The Bush administration has triggered an uproar over its tactics in the War on Terror and its justifications for using them. Travel Health Guide by Mark Wise is a guide for new travelers and seasoned globetrotters with vital medical information on diseases, conditions and other health issues that a traveler may encounter. Casualties of War by Susan Hunnicutt presents articles discussing the issues regarding casualties of war, including civilian deaths in Afghanistan and the policy of media coverage of fallen soldiers.
