Lee County Grand Jury Indicts Seven

One sentenced in District Court

The Lee County Grand Jury indicted seven people on January 12, five of whom are from Lee County. Dale Erwin Arldt, 52 of Giddings, was indicted for retaliation. Raynard L. Barr, 17 from the TYC in Giddings, was indicted for harassment by person in certain correctional facility. Justin Howard, 23 of Lexington, was indicted for injury to elderly individual. David John Johnson, 23 of Lexington, was indicted for theft of property - $ 1,500 to $ 20,000. Destiny Nicole Roberson, 22 of Dime Box, was indicted for theft of property, less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions.

David James House, 20 of Bryan, was indicted for sexual assault of a child. David Andrew Light, 23 of Paige, was indicted for unlawful restraint and assault causing bodily injury, family violence/ household member, impeding breath/circulation.

Terry Roy Roemer, 53 of Burton, was sentenced in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County, also on January 12, with the Honorable Terry Flenniken presiding. He was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance – cocaine, 1 to 4 grams. He saw his original sentence revoked and was then ordered to spend four years confined in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The Judge ordered him to pay all previously assessed costs, fines and fees and an additional $ 400 for his court appointed attorney on revocation matters.
