MS 7A Girls Flog Florence

Out walked two young Florence players. The first was 5’11” and the second was the shorter of the two at 5’10”. The Lexington Lady Eagles looked at the girls, then looked at each other, shrugged and got down to business.

With Referee Coach Holcomb having called the first game (being an athletic director does have its privileges), Coach Holcomb handed off the referee whistles to Coaches Horn and Williams to call the remainder of the games.

Faced with a 5’11” tip off opponent, Lexington 7A girls gave up the tip off, but not much more. The Lady 7A Eagles are fast to the ball, full of hustle and didn’t mind mixing it up. Lexington started scoring first and never looked back. By periods, Lexington led from start to finish with scores of 9-2, 16-9, 20-13 and, finally, 24-17 for the win.

Scoring for Lexington were: 2 by #4 Jaclyn Alford, 4 by #5 Courtney Strain, 5 by #13 Kynslie Meyer and 13 points by #21 Madison Stefek.
