Lady Eagles Jolted by Jarrell 53-25

by Mike Organ

Jarrell’s tall, talented Lady Cougars came out with their foot on the accelerator with an 18-2 opening quarter, then repeating the 18 in the second quarter. Lexington, in the meantime, had a hard time scoring. Freshman Kasey Smith scored the only two points in the first quarter. Lexington did little to help themselves, missing 8 of 10 free throw attempts in the second quarter.

Christen Schneider led Lexington in scoring with eight points. Mackenzie Brown tallied seven to back up Schneider.

The Lady Eagle JV also fell to Jarrell 19-15.
