City Council Regular Meeting

The Lexington City Council will meet in Regular Session on
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Woodson
Community Center, 631 N. Rockdale, Lexington, Texas.
Agenda:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Welcome guest.
3. Citizen input.
4. Approve the minutes for the meeting of December 14th, 2011.
5. Discuss and possible action to approve paying bills for the
month of December 2011.
6. Discuss and possible action on city taxes for Hildebrandt Meat
Market.
7. Hear and discuss views of Jeff Sullivan on Reveille Broadband
internet and phone services.
8. Discuss and possible action on approving the proposed budget
for Lex. EDC.
9. Discuss and possible action on new board-members for Lex.
EDC
10. LAI Disposal will speak to the Council on garbage pickup.
11. Discuss and possible action on utility rates. – Gary Richardson
12. Discuss Lexington’s future water needs. – Keith Hansberger
13. Consideration and action on a resolution authorizing
publication of notice of intention to issue combination tax and
revenue certificates of obligation.
14. Discuss and possible action to raise water rates.
15. Discuss and possible action on Mayor Pro-tem signing
signature card for signing checks.
16. Discuss and possible action on police department reporting
structure and accountability. – Tim Brown
17. Discuss and possible action on police officers working side
jobs. – Chief Bowden
18. Discuss and possible action to hire three (3) more police
reserve officers. – Chief Bowden
19. The City Council will convene into Executive Session
pursuant to Texas Government Code, Section 551.071, to consult
with attorney involving contemplated litigation (wastewater
project).
20. The City Council will reconvene into Public Session pursuant
to Texas Government Code, Section 551.071, to take action on
any or all contemplated litigation (wastewater project).
21. Reports: A. Financial/Budget – Pam Cox
B. Police Report – Chief Bowden

Note: City Council may go into executive session on one or more of the above agenda items, in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Government Code, Chapter 551.
