Lexington Man Charged with Capital Murder

Michael Allen Seaton, formerly of Lexington, surrendered to the Milam County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, after he was charged with Capital Murder for the beating death of a four- year- old child. Law enforcement officers had been searching the Lee and Milam County areas for the Houston resident because he has relatives in both counties.

As reported in the last issue of the Leader, Seaton and his girlfriend, Britni Glover, were charged in the beating death of her son, Dustyn Skyler Roff. The incident took place on Hillcroft St. in Houston.

Sgt. Will Gonzales with the Houston Police Department told the Leader, “It appeared Dustyn died from abuse he suffered inside the apartment on Hillcroft. Seaton was babysitting Dustyn and got upset when Dustyn’s mom did not come home for lunch. Dustyn’s mom watched as Seaton took out his frustrations on her child.”

According to the police records, Glover waited to call the police until the next morning, when she found the child unresponsive in his bed. When officers arrived, they found Dustyn dead, with bruises all over his body.

In 2009 Seaton was charged and sentenced in Lee County for an incident where he was found guilty for causing injury to a two year old girl. He was given five years probation and ordered to serve 180 days in the Lee County jail for that incident.
