Lexington fought a taller, more talented Thorndale evenly for the first half of the District 27-AA opener for both teams. After trailing only 17- 14 at half, Lexington couldn’t buy a basket in the third quarter and the Top Ten ranked Thorndale found the range and won 41-19.

Mackenzie Brown led Lexington in scoring with nine points. Madison Bexley dropped in eight and Kristen Boettcher had the other two, as Lexington only had three players to score.

The JV girls dropped Thorndale in their district opener 25-15. Leading the charge was Reynolds with 11 points.

Madeline Morton had seven in the win.
