Earlee Carl Hartfiel
Earlee Carl Hartfiel was born on September 16, 1931 in Dime Box, Texas to Carl William and Alvena (Brinkman) Hartfiel. He married Ruby Matejcek Suehs on July 17, 1999. On March 1, 1952, Mr. Hartfiel enlisted in the Navy and served his country during the Korean Conflict. His other joys were being an elder at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington, Tx,. coon hunting, dancing, and all of his family. Mr. Hartfiel passed away the morning of Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Oakland Manor in Giddings, where he reached the age of 80 years, 2 months and 29 days. Funeral services for Mr. Hartfiel were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington, TX, with Rev. Lief Hasskarl officiating. Visitation was held Friday, December 16, 2011 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Magaret Hartfiel. Mr. Hartfiel is survived by his wife, Ruby Hartfiel of Lexington; son, Steve and Mitzi Hartfiel of Kilgore, TX; Grandson, Zach Hartfiel of Kilgore, TX; five step children, Gail and Tabb Watt of Houston, Wayne and Nancy Wyche of Atlanta, Ga., Diane and Gene Walch of Lexington, Robert and Brenda Suehs of Willow Park, and Ronald and Becky Suehs of Lexington; brother, Charles Hartfiel of Lexington; sister, Angeline and Elvin Stall of Houston; step grandchildren, Christie and Yoni Sade, Amber and Phil Brockenbush, Lance and Jennifer Walch, Crystal and Levi Mehrhoff, Courtney and Travis Placke, Jacob Suehs, and Clay Suehs; step great grandchildren, Emory and Ellie Brockenbush, James and Bailey Placke, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorials may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church or the charity of one’s choice.
