Cesar Adrian Cardenas

April 21, 1978 - December 6, 2011

Cesar passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Giddings.

Cesar Adrian Cardenas was born on April 21, 1978 in Giddings, Texas to Andres & Sabina (Armendariz) Cardenas. He attended school in Giddings and played football and baseball. Cesar graduated from Giddings High School as a member of the class of 1996. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Gonzales on September 17, 2011 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church by Father James Olnhausen. He had been employed by MJ Sheridan of Texas as a utility construction foreman. Cesar was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, collecting baseball cards and taking care of and spending time with his daughters and nieces and nephews. He was an avid University of Texas Longhorn fan.

He was preceded in death by two grandmothers and a grandfather.

Cesar is survived by his wife, Cynthia Cardenas of Giddings; three daughters, Alexcia Sump of Magnolia, Adrianna Cardenas of Giddings and Neomi Cardenas of Giddings; his parents, Andres & Sabina Cardenas of Giddings; his sister, Nancy Cardenas of San Diego, CA; three brothers, Cleo & Maria Cardenas of Giddings, Jose & Martha Cardenas of Giddings and Ricardo & Michelle Cardenas of Austin; his grandfather, Cleotilde Cardenas of Mexico, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Cesar were held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings with Father James Olnhausen officiating.

Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. A Rosary was recited Thursday evening at the funeral home.
