Lee County District Court Sentences Four People
The 21st District Judicial Court of Lee County saw four people sentenced in the Honorable Terry Flenniken’s courtroom on Tuesday, November 29. Lee Roy Johnson, Jr., 40 of Burton, was sentenced for burglary of a habitation and for possession of a controlled substance – cocaine, 4 – 200 grams. For the first and second case, he was sentenced to 16 years each confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In each case he was also ordered to pay$388 in court costs and fees.
Willie Louis Beisert, Jr., 63 of Lincoln, was sentenced for two charges, both of them being driving while intoxicated – subsequent. In the first case, Beisert was sentenced to three years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and ordered to pay a total of $963 in court costs and fees. He had his driver’s license suspended for one year. In the second case, Beisert saw his original sentence revoked and was sentenced to four years in the TDCJ. The Judge added an additional $400 for his court appointed attorney on the revocation matter.
Tomas Hernandez, 32 of Giddings, was sentenced for assault – family violence, for retaliation and for arson. In the first case, he was sentenced to 90 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center and ordered to pay a total of $1,388 in fines, court costs and fees. In the second case, Hernandez was sentenced to five years in the TDCJ, probated for five years and ordered to pay an additional $1,388 in fines, court costs and fees. In the third and final case, Hernandez was sentenced to 10 years probation and ordered to pay $5,388 in fines, court costs and fees. He also was ordered to perform 350 hours of community service restitution.
Judge Flenniken sentenced Keith Lee Leonard, 55 of Giddings, for perjury and ordered him to pay $1,388 in fines, court costs and fees.
