The 2011 Christmas Home Tour

The Taylor Conservation and Heritage Society invites the citizens of its neighboring towns and cities to visit historic Taylor, Texas and experience its Historic Christmas Homes Tour on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11.

Six homes will be on display. Homes range from a renovated 1898 meat market to a wonderful Victorian home that is rumored to have been a house of ill repute. Several homes feature extravagant Christmas displays, while others are rich in antiques and family heirlooms. One home demonstrates a unique man cave.

Heart to Heart Bed & Breakfast, 829 McClure Street in Taylor will be offering an inexpensive brunch and snacks to tour guests.

The tours will be held from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Tickets are available in advance at the following locations in Taylor: Taylor Chamber of Commerce, Frill’s, Bland’s Jewelers and Kunisch Wellness Center. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Tickets will be available on the days of the tour at tour headquarters, 200 N. Main (intersection of Highways 79 and 95), Taylor, Texas, where the Taylor Art Guild will be displaying art and Christmas decorations for sale. The ticket prices on tour days are $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
