Lexington’s district opponents, Rogers and Franklin, scored big time wins in the first round of the playoffs. The wag that said the Region III champion would come from District 12-2A-DII would appear to be on the money.
Texas’ highly promoted running game went away when there was a worthy opponent like Missouri. Granted, three running backs were hurt, but still, the leading rusher for the Horns had 35 yards. The Austin sportswriters seem to be shills for UT. The vastly improved running game produced threepoints!!!!!!
America’s first half team, Texas A&M, did it again. They had a 31-21 lead over Kansas State in the fourth quarter, only to lose 53- 50 in four overtimes. They still were outscored by 13 points in the fourth quarter and four overtimes.
Oklahoma State embarrassed Texas Tech, leading 49- 0 at halftime. These are the same Red Raiders that went to Norman, Oklahoma and beat the then unbeaten Sooners in their own house, convincingly.
The Cowboys looked awfully good in defeating Buffalo Sunday. I hope they can consistently play at that level.
Don’t bet the family fortune on it though!!!!!
The Texans looked good in wiping out the Buccaneers. Rushing and passing games were both hitting on all cylinders. They could be good. Wouldn’t the Super Bowl be nice with Dallas vs. Houston?
Jimmy Terrell and the McMurry War Hawks will be making their first ever appearance in the NCAA Division III playoffs this Saturday in San Antonio against the Trinity Tigers. Good Luck, Jimmy!!!!!!
