Groundbreaking at New Race Track



A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the new Julie Irwin Cotton Bowl Speedway race track scheduled to be constructed in Paige and completed by early next year. Pictured above are local business people and politicians donning the ceremonial shovels. They are Wade Dane with Lee County Water, Stephen Wusterhausen with Sawmill and Supply, Julie Irwin-Cotton, owner of the track, Danny Bennett, owner of the track, Michael Chambless with McCoy’s Building Supply, Lee County Commissioner Doug Hartfield, Lee County Judge Paul Fischer and Jeff Turner, Mayor of the City of Manor.
