SPECIAL MEETING

The Lexington City Council met in a special session on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at 6:00 p.m., at the Woodson Community Center.

Present were Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr., Councilpersons Opal Lewis, Tim Brown, Lori Barnikow, William Langehennig and City Attorney Tim Kleinschmidt. Councilperson Greg Langehennig was absent.

Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. brought the meeting to order and welcomed the guest.

3. There was no citizen input.

4. Agenda item #4 on complaints about issues on Hilliard Street was tabled due to no-show.

5. Tim Brown made the motion to allow Attorney to check into possible joint use with school district concerning bequest from Don Webb Estate. Lori Barnikow seconded the motion. Vote 4 for.

6. Tim Brown made the motion to table action to purchase property at Sheriff Auction. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 4 for.

7. Opal Lewis made the motion to accept bid to repair 2001 Dodge truck to Eagle Auto in the amount of $2,650.91 with at least 90 day warranty. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 4 for.

(Mayor confirmed that the warranty is for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, on parts and labor.)

8. Tim Brown made the motion to take no action on financing alternatives for improvements to the City’s water and sewer utility system. Lori Barnikow seconded the motion. Vote 4 for.

9. Tim Brown made the motion to take no action on a resolution authorizing publication of notice of intent to issue combination tax and revenue certificates of obligation. Lori Barnikow seconded the motion. Vote 4 for.

10. Tim Brown made the motion to have city employees remove asphalt on Third Street from Giddings to Wells. William Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 4 for.

11. Opal Lewis made the motion to adjourn. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 4 for. Adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
