Lexington Police Report

Monday, Oct. 17, 2011

At 1:00 pm Chief Bowden and Officer Nurse were dispatched to the 200 block of Cherry Drive to speak with a citizen reference a complaint of harassment. Situation resolved.

At 2:31 pm Chief Bowden and Officer Nurse were dispatched to N. Rockdale near McClanahan Street reference a dead deer in the roadway. Chief Bowden requested assistance from our city workers and Kenneth Chappell arrived with a backhoe and removed the animal.

At 6: 14 pm Chief Bowden dispatched Officer Gaskamp to the corner of 9th Street and Rockdale reference a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was resting on a flat tire. The tire was changed later in the night and the vehicle was removed.

At 8:47 pm Officer Gaskamp investigated a complaint of loud noise in the 300 block of Avenue F. Unable to locate.

Routine patrol. 1 warning issued and 1 citation issued by Officer Gaskamp.

At 11:55 pm Chief Bowden interviewed a suspicious person at Burns Street and 3rd Street. Checked ok.

Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011

1:44 am Chief Bowden checked a suspicious vehicle near the Senior Citizens Center. Checked ok.

At 4:40 am Officer Gaskamp was on routine patrol and noticed an open gate at the City Barn. It appeared the wind had blown it open. After checking the area, he locked and secured the gate.

Chief Bowden trained Officer Nurse today for 12 hours on patrol tactics and business checks. Officer Nurse also passed a test on Sexual Violence Investigations (TCLEOSE).

At 9:40 am Chief Bowden and Officer Nurse conducted a civil standby in the 100 block of North Avenue.

At 6:15 pm Officer Gaskamp took a theft report at Peterson’s Grocery. Report on file.

Friday, Oct. 21, 2011

At 6: 23 pm Corporal Wooldridge and Officer Gaskamp were dispatched to the Lexington Food Mart reference a complaint of a disruptive customer. Contact was made with the store manager and the customer, and the customer left the property.

At 6: 35 pm Corporal Wooldridge and Officer Gaskamp were dispatched to the 800 blk of Caldwell Street reference a complaint of loud music from a vehicle. The individual was contacted and he agreed to keep the noise to a minimum.

At 8:20 pm Corporal Wooldridge and Officer Gaskamp were at the Lexington High School football game and had occasion to assist

SRO Mohr in an incident involving students with knives. Situation resolved, incident reports written.

Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011

At 5:15 pm Officer Nurse and Officer Raney were dispatched to the 700 block of 6th Street reference a request for the issuance of a Criminal Trespass Notice.

At 5:28 pm Officer Nurse and Officer Raney were dispatched to the Lexington Food Mart reference the issuance of a Criminal Trespass Notice. No notice issued.

Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011

At 10: 00 am Corporal Wooldridge and Officer Nurse responded to a complaint of shots fired in the 400 block of Burns Street. Checked ok.

At 8:05 pm Officer Gaskamp issued a traffic warning on Hwy. 77 for a traffic offense.

At 10:00 pm Officer Gaskamp issued a traffic warning on Hwy. 77 at North Street for a traffic offense.
