Miss Kathleen Suzanne McArthur and Mr. Matthew Robert Gross were united in marriage on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas. Father Anthony Villano officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Frances McArthur of Paige and granddaughter of Richard C. Brooke of San Antonio. The groom is the son of Jay and Lucille Gross of Stony Brook, New York, and the grandson of Robert J. Pollock and Mary Pollock of Valley Stream, New York.
The bride was attended by her sisters, Monica Anne McArthur, and Angelique Marie Castaneda as co-matron’s of honor. Bridesmaids included Kathryn Johnson, sister of the groom, Jennifer McArthur, sister-in-law of the bride, Christina McArthur, sister-in-law of the bride, and Laurie Brown, friend of the bride. Childhood friend of the groom, Peter Stone served as best man. Groomsmen were Francisco Jijon, friend of the groom, Robert McArthur, brother of the bride, Benjamin McArthur, brother of the bride, and Jack Qian, friend of the groom. Flower girls were Alison Brooke, Amanda Young, and Vanessa Brooke, cousins of the bride.
A dinner and dance followed the wedding mass at the Omni-La Mansion del Rio. On the eve of the wedding, a welcome dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the home of Yolanda and Valentino Castaneda.
Kathleen is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Harvard Law School. Matthew is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School. Both Katy and Matt work at the law firm of Sullivan and Cromwell in NewYork, New York. Following a honeymoon in Bali, the couple resides in New York, New York.
