The Lexington City Council met in regular session on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at 6:00 p.m., at the Woodson Community Center.

Present were Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr., Councilpersons Opal Lewis, Tim Brown, Greg Langehennig, Lori Barnikow and William Langehennig.

Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. brought the meeting to order and welcomed the guest.

3. There was no citizen input.

4. Greg Langehennig made the motion to approve the minutes for August 30th, September 14th & September 27th, 2011. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

5. Tim Brown made the motion to approve paying bills 1 – 58 for the month of September 2011. William Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Tim Brown made the motion to pay bill 59 for the month of September 2011. Lori Barnikow seconded the motion. Vote 3 for. Two abstained. (Greg Langehennig & William Langehennig)

6. Tim Brown made the motion to take no action on utility extension for a longer period of time than allowed. William Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

7. Greg Langehennig made the motion to table action to consider repairing west end of 3rd Street, north end of Main Street and street that runs by Herk’s Store between Hwy. 77 and Rockdale Street. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for. (Mayor appointed a committee of Tim Brown & William Langehennig to look into different solutions)

8. William Langehennig made the motion to take no action on installing filtration system on city water system at this time. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

9. William Langehennig made the motion to take no action to rehabilitate the worst wastewater collection pipes as identified by our recent video inspection at this time. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

10. Greg Langehennig made the motion to approve the financial report. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Tim Brown made the motion to approve the budget report. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Tim Brown made the motion to approve the police report. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

11. Greg Langehennig made the motion to adjourn. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for. Adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
