Local Baker Wins Food Show



Kimberly Joosten, owner of Lexington’s Fourth Street Bakery, won two Blue Ribbons and took Best in Show in the Commercial Division of the Central Texas Bakeoff and Food Show last weekend. Kimberly won First Place for her Italian Cream Cake and First Place, as well as Best in Show, for her Pecan Pie in the show that was held in Cameron on Saturday and sponsored by Brookshire Brothers, Milam County 4H and Cameron Cares. Patricia Sharpe, Texas Monthly executive editor and food writer, was the featured Judge, along with newscaster Ann Harder, with KXXV-TV out of Waco.
