American Legion to host Pancake Breakfast

The Lexington American Legion will host a pancake breakfast Saturday morning, October 8, beginning at 7 a.m. They will serve pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice.

Angel Kisses Antiques to Hold Grand Opening

Angel Kisses Antiques will hold a Grand Opening Saturday, October 15, in conjunction with the Eighth Annual Chocolate Lovers Festival. Judy Barrett, master gardener, will be there signing her book, Donnie Suehs, furniture restorer, will demonstrate refinishing your treasured heirlooms, Ed Kliman will be performing jazz and blues and Maribeth Harvey will teach how to redecorate your home with what you already have on hand.

Pink Ribbon Affair Tuesday, October 11

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Lee County Area Cancer Resource Center will host the Pink Ribbon Affair Tuesday, October 11, at 5:30 at the Giddings American Legion Hall.

National 4H Week

For more than 104 years, the 4-H Program of Texas has been engaging youth in activities that help develop skills for a lifetime. These skills range from communication to community service and from goal setting to leadership. Regardless of the skill learned, the benefits gathered from a young person participating in the 4- H Program is priceless.
