Annette Farmer Simons
Annette Farmer Simons was born on March 4, 1963 in Giddings, Texas to Ben & Wanda (Fulbright) Farmer. She attended school in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School in 1981. Annette married Arthur Simons on July 10, 1988 in Lexington. She led an active life and mastered everything she did. She worked as a babysitter, in customer service and as a home health care aid. She also served as a volunteer with Hospice Brazos Valley. Church was a very important part of Annette’s life and she was an active member of Lexington Faith Temple where she held many positions including past principal of the day school, Sunday School Teacher and Ladies Leader. She was always a caregiver and thoughtful of others. Annette loved being “Neeno” to her grandkids and enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Simons of Lexington; three children, Opal & Chris Hall of Lexington, Amanda & Thomas Williams of Teague and Annie & Jason Dick of Missouri; five grandchildren, Gabriel, Lukas and Sarah Hall of Lexington and Trip and Lydia Williams of Teague; her parents, Wanda Mack of Minnesota and Ben & Vicky Farmer of Corsicana; sisters and brothers, Donna Farmer of Lexington, D’Anna & Mark Hastings of Iowa, Sam & Andria Mack of Minnesota, Larry & Brenda Farmer of Bastrop and George Mack of Minnesota, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Annette Simons, 48 were 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Lexington Faith Temple in Lexington with Pastor Rhonda Whited officiating. Burial was in the Lexington Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Larry Farmer Jr., Randal Martin, Jimmy Stamport, David Wade, Larry Landreth and Sam Dalen.
