LHS Varsity Cheerleaders Win 1st Place in UCA Camp Championship

Your very own Lexington High School Varsity Cheerleaders recently participated in a UCA Resort Elite Stunt Camp held at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. The girls had to “qualify” for admittance into the Elite Stunt classes by landing two full extensions, a stunt that exhibits that the squad is more advanced in their stunting abilities. During cheer and chant evaluations they earned 2 Superior ribbons for their ability, technique, and game readiness. The girls also earned two spirit sticks and won 1st place at the Camp Championship the last day of camp, competing against other Varsity squads. The girls had to perform a cheer, chant, and extreme routine dance, as well as incorporate stunts, tumbling, and their own choreography. Five girls, Alyssa, Brooke, Caitlyn, Chelsea, and Shayna also tried out for All- American, which recognizes those cheerleaders whose skills are more advanced.
