Eagles Travel to Jarrell

Open District Action
by Mike Organ

Lexington will travel to Jarrell Friday night to open District 12- AA DII action. The home standing Cougars are 2-2 for the year. The wins came over Johnson City 42-7 and Bartlett 34-8. The losses were to Crawford in the first game 46-15 and Moody last week 34-15.

The Cougars are on their way back after a 3-7 season, with a 1-5 district record. The Cougars have a new coach in Chuck Wyatt. Jarrell had some internal turmoil over the last two seasons and have now conquered the problem. Even though Texas Football picked Jarrell to finish last in District 12AA, the pre-district games have shown that may be in error.

The Cougars have experienced players like Aaron Burns, Nate Sumner, Clayton Kovar, Matt Andrews, Samuel Perez, and Morgan Cooper to lead them through the season.

Expect a hard fought game between these two rivals.
