Fayette County Country Music Club Will Host Tribute To Hank Williams

The Fayette County Country Music Club Opry will be held at the KC Hall in La Grange on Monday, September 19, with the doors opening at 5:30 and the show starting at 7:30.

This is the Opry’s annual tribute to the late and great Hank Williams, Sr. Featured during this month’s event will be:

TWO AND A HALF ANGELS Diane Farley, Suzie Watts and Priscilla Speed are “The Two and A Half Angels” trio. All of these ladies have had the love of music most of their lives and sang in church and for family and friends before becoming acquainted with one another.

MICHAEL MACH’s musical influences were shaped very early by his mother, Ruby. Michael can remember at an early age his mother listening to Hank Williams and Janis Joplin on the turntable.

LIZ TALLEY is an accomplished drummer, guitar player, songwriter and honkytonk singer. Liz has been playing music around the Houston area since she was 14 years old.

CHRIS CERNOSEK is a La Grange native, who grew up cutting his musical teeth on old-time country music. Playing the local beer joint and wedding circuit, he learned that, in order to please the crowds, the music had to be familiar and danceable.

JESSI LYNN is from Nashville and has been nominated for 13 Grammy’s since 2002. She has independently released six CD’s and has been compared to artists such as Jennifer Nettles, Melissa Etheridge & Sheryl Crow.

So be sure to be with us on Monday, September 19 for the Opry’s annual Tribute to the late and great Hank Williams, Sr.
