Lady Eagles at RTC Tourney

The Lady Eagles beat Thorndale in their opening match 25-19, 25-10. Host RTC was not gracious as they beat the Lady Eagles 16-25,19-25. Louise also topped the Lady Eagles 22-25,18- 25. Johna Alford led the girls with 21 kills, 9 blocks, and 11 digs in the three contests. Brittany Nichol put up 32 assists for the girls to hammer home. “Megan Scantlin led the team with a phenomenal defensive game,” according to Coach Kym Aldrich. “Meghann Wrinkle stepped up to set the ball well against RTC and played a consistent game. Karley Wren led the team with six aces Thursday. Madison Bexley read well on defense and made effort to pick up any, and every ball.”

The Lady Eagles returned on Saturday but fell to Thorndale and Louise. The Lady Eagles are now 8-8 for the young season. They will open district action Friday night when they host the Academy Lady Bees.
