Lexington Hires Two New Officers

Scott Gaskamp, one of Lexington’s new police officers, is 24 years old and comes to

Lexington after serving one and a half years at the Bastrop County Jail. He was also a reserve deputy with the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office. Dontrell Nurse, also one of Lexington’s new police officers, is 30 years old and served with the Texas Department of Public Safety at the State Capitol in Austin for four years. His wife, Mary Alice, is in active duty with the United States Army. They currently live in Austin. Both officers will be moving to Lexington in the near future.
