Glenn Goetz, Jr
Glenn Goetz, Jr. was born October 7, 1964 in Cameron, Texas to Betty (Dragoo) and Carl Glenn Goetz, Sr. They lived in Cameron and moved to Thorndale during his junior year. He graduated from Thorndale High School the class of 1983.
Glenn lived in Lexington since 2007, moving there from Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a self employed diesel mechanic and bulldozer operator. On December 4, 2003, he and Laura Sunderland were married.
Glenn passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at his home in Lexington. He reached the age of 46.
Surviving, his wife Laura Goetz of Lexington, 3 daughters, Hannah Sams & husband Sean of North Pole, Alaska; Holly Goetz & fiance Forrest Dorr of Gillette, Wyoming; Haley Goetz & fiance Curtis Schomer of Billings, Montana; Step daughters, Raeann Lorek & husband Robert of Fairbanks, Amanda Dineen & husband James of Corydon, Indiana; Parents, Glenn & Betty Goetz, Sr. of Thrall and Grandmother, Bulah Mae Dragoo of Cartersville, Georgia. Also surviving are brothers, Casey Goetz & wife Joann of Lexington, Cary Goetz & wife Jackquenett of Rockdale; sisters, Carol Bergstad & husband Bill of Dayton, Wyoming, and Connie Creamer & husband Chris of Leander; five grandchildren, twelve nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, with Brother Ronnie Rhoades officiating. Burial followed in the Sharp Cemetery in Sharp.
Pallbearers were Casey Goetz, Cary Goetz, Glenn Schneider, Richard Schneider, Ron McCoy, and Danny Zalesky.
