Lex. JV Looked Good in Scrimmage

by Mark Strain

The Lexington JV Eagles went to Caldwell to start the football seasonwitha9a.m.scrimmage. The JV team looked very good holding Caldwell to a net gain of about 0 yards in their 30 minutes of defense.

On offense, the young Eagles had three scores. Quarterback W.E. Meuth went around the right side on a 50 yard scamper to score first. On the very next play, Meuth threw a pass to Corey Strain who took it 70 yards to score again. With time running down Lechea Cooper had a nice run up the middle.

Allen Junek had a good game at tackle as well as Nate Holcomb, Noble Little, Jamyon Scott, Samuel Meza, and Bradley Campbell making nice contributions.

The entire Lexington JV team and coaching staff get kudos for a job well done. JV’s next action will be Thursday August 18th in Groesbeck in a three way scrimmage with Mart.
