Lady Eagles at Cameron Tourney

Lexington defeated LaVega in two games 25-13, 25-16 to open the Cameron Tourney. The Lady Eagles then fell to Lago Vista 25- 14, 25-12 and Franklin in the final two matches on Friday. The 1-2 record put Lexington in the consolation bracket on Saturday.

The Lady Eagles won the consolation bracket with three wins against tough teams. Groesbeck went down 25-13,25-23 in two games. Granger was the next victim as the Lady Eagles won 25-7, 25-11. Lexington advanced to the consolation championship game.

There was district rival Thorndale to defeat. Thorndale won the first game 22-25 but the Lady Eagles rallied to win the match and the consolation bracket by winning the last two games 25- 17, 25-20.

The Lady Eagles are now 5-2 for the young season.
