The Kym Aldrich era of Lexington volleyball started with an exciting, grueling five game match against the Lady Tigers of Smithville. Lexington won the first two games 25-18 and 26-21 before falling in games three and four 18-25 and 23-25. That brought game five with Lexington prevailing 15-9. For the twohour match Lexington had 107 points and Smithville 101 in the close match.

Aleece Moerbe led the Lady Eagles in kills with 15 to lead the offense. Brittany Nichol had 30 assists in the match to prepare the kill shots. Alford had six kills, Nichol five with some dinks included, Wren five, Madeline Morton two, and Madison Bexley two kills. Bexley also had a good game passing the ball to the setter according to Coach Aldrich.

Johna Alford led the defense with six blocks and Karley Wren was all over the place digging up Smithville kill attempts. Alford also had several good digs, as did Moerbe, Reagan Johnston, and Megan Scantlin.

The JV Gold also had a close match losing in three sets 25-22, 16-25, 24-26. The JV Green found their competition a little tougher losing in two games by relatively large margins.
