Theodore “Ted” Samuel Exner

September 4, 1928 - August 10, 2011

Mr. Exner passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Texas.

Theodore “Ted” Samuel Exner was born on September 4, 1928 in Lincoln, Texas to Samuel Otto & Theresa Marie (Noack) Exner. He was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Texas where he was baptized, confirmed and married. Ted was a retired sheetrocker and a member of the Sons of Hermann. He had enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and in his later years, enjoyed bird watching.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Marie Exner, Elenor Exner, Lillie Glona and Ruby Lerche; brother, Herbert Exner and a nephew, Chester Exner.

He is survived by four children, Karen & Donald Dillon of Grand Prairie, Texas, Donna & W.B. Anderson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Roger & Cheryl Exner of Farmersville, Texas and Brenda Fritz of Claremore, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Stephanie & Dwight Brooker of Chiefton, Florida, Nichole Bonds & Lee Kosakowski of Austin, T.J. Bonds of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hannah Bonds of Grand Prairie, Chelsie & Jeff Nagy of Austin, Casey Daniels of Plano, Mckenzie Exner of Ohio, Christina Fritz of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tammie Jo Fritz of Frisco, and Tye Blanton of Claremore, Oklahoma; one great grandchild, Christian Gomez of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Clara Pecht of Houston, Irene Nittsche of Fedor, and Amanda ( Dolly) Price of Lexington, Texas; brother, Leroy Exner of Giddings; sister-in-law, Esther Exner of Lincoln; brotherin law, Edwin & Della Lerche of Lexington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Rev. Lee Eschberger officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
