Slow Day in District Court

Unlike recent weeks, the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County was relatively calm last week, as the Honorable Reva Towlsee-Corbet presided over just three sentencings. Two of those sentenced saw revocation of their original sentences.

Andrew Garrett Preuss, 23 of Carmine, was sentenced to seven years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Jail Facility with his original sentence of Burglary of a Habitation revoked. He was ordered to pay all costs previously assessed during the August 9 hearing.

Brandon Jerome Patterson, 21 of Burton, also saw the revocation of his original sentence for Assault-Family Violence, and was ordered to spend 270 days confined in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center. The judge added $ 400 for his Court Appointed Attorney to his previously assessed fees.

Ronnie Lee Mathis, 18 of Ledbetter, was sentenced to two years probation for a charge of Assault-Bodily Injury. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $304 in court costs, $400 attorney fee, $ 50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stopper fee and $34 DNA testing fee. The Judge also ordered him to perform 100 hours of community service.
