4-H Awards Program & Enrollment
The 4-H Clubs of Lee County will conduct their annual 4-H Awards Program on Sunday, August 28, between 1 pm and 3 pm at the Lincoln Community Center off Hwy 21 in Lincoln. This program will count as the August meeting for all Clubs. During the program, awards and recognition will be presented to those participating in the various 4-H activities this past year.
Everyone currently enrolled in 4-H or who is interested in joining 4-H, is invited to attend. An ice cream social will be hosted at the conclusion of the program. If you or someone you know have considered 4-H, now is a time to get involved. Lee County Extension Agents, Tonya Poncik and Keeton Ehrig will be in attendance, ready to answer any questions you might have about 4- H and club activities, opportunities and competitions.

A Rabbit Workshop will be held in the Lee County Extension office in Giddings on Thursday, September 15, beginning at 6:30 pm. Lloyd Morgan, Jr., Vice President of the Texas Rabbit Breeders Association, will speak on rabbit breeding and nutrition and the care and preparation of Show Rabbits.
Lee County 4- H members Jenna Kieschnick and Micah Jackson attended Leader College this past weekend. Both are members of the Lee County 4-H Council. Leader College sharpens leadership skills, and this year, featured sessions in the areas of community service, photography, robotics, livestock projects, just to name a few. Also attending Leader College was 4- H Leader Mary Kieschnick and Extension Agent Keeton Ehrig.
