At our last meeting, Brittney Brockenbush and Denise Peterson, school counselors in the Lexington School District, came and gave a short program on “Rachel’s Challenge”, a program put together in honor or Rachel Scott, the first victim in the Columbine High School shootings, whose mission states, “We exist to inspire, equip and empower every person to create a permanent positive culture change in their school, business and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.”

The counselors are working to bring “Rachel’s Challenge” to LISD in order to teach the student body how to deal with being bullied or how to avoid becoming a bully. The Lions Club gave a donation to LISD in the name of this program in order to help them bring the program to Lexington.
