Seven Sentenced in District Court

Seven people were sentenced in District Court last week, with the Honorable Reva Towlsee-Corbett presiding. Three of those sentenced had their original sentences revoked and were sent to jail for 180 days to 10 years.

Cameron Davis Hentschel, 23 of Giddings, was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the TDCJ system for Injury to a Child, having his previous sentence revoked.

Lisa Regina Whitfield, 44 of Ledbetter, was sentenced to seven years confinement for Forgery by Passing, repeat felony offender, having her previous sentence revoked. She was ordered to pay an additional $400 in Court costs.

Edward Fonzell Johnson, 22 of Giddings, was sentenced to 180 days confinement in the TDCJ for Possession of a Controlled Substance – cocaine, less than 1 gram. His original sentence was revoked and he was ordered to pay an additional $400 in Court costs.

Travis O’Neal Wolridge, 22 of Giddings, was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ, probated four years for Criminal Mischief - $1500 to $20,000. He was ordered to pay $5,458.12 in restitution, court costs, fees and fines. He was ordered to serve 150 hours community service and to spend 20 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center as part of his probation.

Anthony Bernard Green, 52 of Giddings, was sentenced for Assault. He was given five years probation and ordered to pay $1,788 in court costs, fees, and fines. He was told to enter and successfully complete an Anger Management Program.

Wilbert Charles Williams, 20 of Missouri City, Texas, was sentenced to two years probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3, 4 Methylenedioxy Methamphetamine, less than 1 gram. He was ordered to pay $2,253 in court costs, fees, fines and restitution. He was also ordered to serve 100 hours of community service and to enter and successfully complete a Drug Offender Education Class.

Derrick Lamon Canada, 34 of Giddings, was sentenced for Assault – Family Violence. He received one year confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center, probated 18 months. He was ordered to pay $1,088 in court costs, fees and fines and to enter and successfully complete an Anger Management Program.
