Glenna Stout Weise

February 1, 1929 - July 18, 2011

Glenna Stout Weise, age 82, of Dallas, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2011. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

Glenna was born February 1, 1929 in Shattuck, OK. She initially attended OCU (Oklahoma City University) and later transferred and graduated from Oklahoma A & M College (now Oklahoma State University) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bacteriology and Chemistry.

She did a one year internship at Methodist Hospital in Houston and later worked as a medical technologist with Humble Oil & Refining Company and also at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi.

She was an active member of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for over fifty years. Glenna loved working with many civic and charitable organizations. She has always shown a love for others throughout her life and has touched many with her selfless compassion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Velma (Sappington) Stout as well as her husband of 53 years, Jesse Weise. She is survived by daughter and son- in- law Jane and Terry Langston of Waverly, TN; daughter and son-in-law Janice and Robert Mangin of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren Jeremy Langston of Huntsville, AL; Melissa Langston of Kansas City, MO; Walker and Mary Katherine Mangin of Dallas, TX; brother and sister-in-law Don and Judy Stout of Tulsa, OK; sister-in-law Hermine Weise of Giddings, TX as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held from 6: 00 p. m. until 8: 00 p. m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, 588 North Main in Giddings, TX. The service will be held the following day, Friday, July 22, 2011 at 10 a. m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, TX with Pastor John Schmidt officiating.

Interment will be held after the service at Giddings City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to the charity of one’s choice.
