Three People Sentenced
Three people were sentenced the last couple of weeks of June. On June 21, Misteri Marie Benford, 19 of La Grange, was sentenced in District Court for Theft of Property $ 1,500 to $20,000 – Aggregation of amounts involved in theft. She received two years probation and was ordered to pay $2,038 in fees, court costs and restitution.
On June 28, with the Honorable Terry Flenniken presiding over the 21st District Court in Lee County, Casey Lynn Anderson, 20 from Somerville, was sentenced for forgery by passing and Blake Edward Williams, 19 from North Richland Hills, Texas, was sentenced for Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3, 4 – Methylenedioxy Methamphetamine, Less than 1 gram.
Anderson’s original sentence was revoked and she was sentenced to 20 months confinement in the TDCJ State Jail Facility. She was ordered to pay all previously assessed fees, fines and court costs, as well as an additional $400 for her court appointed attorney fee on revocation matters.
Williams was given three years’ probation and ordered to pay $2,028 in fees, court costs and restitution. He was also ordered to perform 75 hours of community service restitution and ordered to forfeit money in a seizure care involving this offense.
