Cory Savage, part owner of Reveille Broadband, is shown finishing up a fiber optic cable splice across the street from the water tower in Lexington. Reveille Broadband is completing a fiber optic connection between Lexington ISD, the Reveille Broadband equipment room and LiveAir Networks.

LiveAir Networks is an Internet back haul provider contracting with LISD to increase the Internet bandwidth currently available to the district. LiveAir is based in Smithville and serves other school districts in Central Texas. The company is applying to the City of Lexington to place an antenna on the water tower.

Reveille Broadband will be providing a fiber optic feed into the LISD main server room to allow for “ Cable in the Classroom” services provided by cable networks such as TLC and Discovery Channel. Future services and programming will be developed by students as well.

This project creates a fiber optic network in the community connecting both LISD campuses with the largest broadband pipe available.
