Giddings Library News Corner

By Judy Belyeu

THERE IS A NEW SHIPMENT OF BOOKS EVERY MONTH.

The Giddings Public Library has some new books to check out. Killer On A Hot Tin Roof is a homicide fiction by Livia J. Washburn. While attending the annual Tennessee Williams Literary Festival in New Orleans, Delilah Dickinson becomes immersed in a murder investigation when one of the professors claims he can prove Williams didn’t write “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof” and the supposed real author turns up dead.

In our large print we have Magnolia by Diana Palmer. Loving her life in sultry 1900 Atlanta and captivated by the handsome John Hawthorn, Claire Lang finds herself in a desperate situation and marries John despite her fear that he does not love her. Another large print is Tripwire by Lee Child. Jack Reacher’s anonymity in Key West is shattered by the appearance of a private investigator who’s coming to town looking for him. He never expected the reasons to be personal, so dangerous, and so very twisted.

Mary Engelbreit’s Fan Fare Cookbook contains 120 slow cooker recipes. This book is full of time tested, classic slow cooker recipes and decorated throughout with Mary’s wonderful artwork. From chili, to soups and stews, beef dishes, chicken dishes, pork dishes and even desserts. This book will quickly become a favorite in your home.
