The Giddings Public Library continues to provide large print books for our patrons. Stop by and check them out. Cold Dawn by Carla Neggers is about Rose Cameron, a search and rescue expert, who discovers a body burned almost beyond recognition in Black Falls, Vermont. She suspects that it was not an accident, and joins with smoke jumper Nick Martini to track a dangerous arsonist. A Christmas Odyssey by Ann Perry centers around James Wentworth and his reckless son Lucien. Wentworth’s only hope is his old friend Henry Rathone, who volunteers to search for the prodigal son. Henry enlists the aid of clinic workers Squeaky and young doctor Crow before discovering that the youth has become involved with a tragic prostitute and is working for a major drug dealer.

Night Of The Vampires by Heather Graham is another horror fiction. Megan Fox’s quest is to uncover a family secret that leads her to the vampire riots in West Virginia. Megan teams up with soldier Cole Granger, who despite his mistrust of her, agrees to go undercover with her to find the truth. Water Bound by Christine Feehan is a Sea Haven novel. Lev Prakenskii was rescued from a freezing back eddy by a beautiful woman named Rikki. Lev has no memory of who he is or why he possesses the instincts of a trained killer. Texas Standoff by Elmer Kelton is a novel of the Texas Rangers, Andy Pickard and Logan Daggett who investigate a series of killings and cattle thefts. When those responsible for the killings and thievery are brought to justice, among them is a man whose guilt no one would have guessed.
