Five Sentenced in District Court

Five people were sentenced in District Court last week with the Honorable Terry Flenniken presiding.

Jason Eugene Huff, 28 of Lincoln, was sentenced for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance-Cocaine, 4-200 grams, in a drug-free zone. For tampering, he received 9 years confinement in the TDCJ and ordered to pay $3,498 in court costs, fees and restitution. For the possession, he received revocation of original sentence, 5 years confinement in the TDCJ, all costs previously assessed.

London Paris Hogan, 22 of Houston, was sentenced for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He received revocation of original sentence, 5 years confinement in the TDCJ and all costs previously assessed.

Andrew Orvil Simon, 52 of Giddings, was sentenced for assault family violence and aggravated assault-serious bodily injury. He received revocation of original sentence, 120 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center and 2 years confinement in the TDCJ probated 2 years. He was ordered to pay $1,254 in court costs and fees and told to enter and successfully complete an Anger Management Program, Victim Impact Panel Program, and a Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility Treatment Program.

Kensen James Richard, 23 of Austin, was sentenced for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-Cocaine, 4-200 grams and also possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-3,4 Methylenediosy Methamphetamine, 4-400 grams. He received 10 years probation after shock sentence, ordered to pay $1,278 in court costs, fees and restitution and told to perform 200 hours community service restitution. He agreed to forfeit $640 U.S. Currency and to enroll in and successfully complete a Drug Offender Education Program. For the second offense, he received 10 years probation, and ordered to pay $1,078 in court costs, fees and restitution.

Robert James Deiter, 49 of Lexington, was sentence for driving while intoxicated-subsequent. He received 8 years confinement in the TDCJ probated 8 years, 30 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center as a condition of probation, and ordered to pay $4,048 in court costs, fees and restition. He will receive 2 years driver’s license suspension, perform 150 hours community service restitution and enroll in and successfully complete the DWI and Victim Impact Panel Programs. Defendant will also have Ignition Interlock installed in vehicle.
