by Mike Organ

The Eagles met class 3A Navasota in one semi-final game and Lago Vista met Florence. Lexington and Lago Vista won the semi-final games. The two teams automatically advanced to state so there was no championship game. The state meet for 7-on-7 will be held July 14 and 15 at Texas A&M..

Kogan Garrett was hitting receivers all over the field. The receivers getting open were: Jason Washington, Josh Murray, Logan Meuth, Zach Lay, Donnie Havard and Eriq Mitchell.

Defensively the coverage was good with the same group, along with Antonio Washington and Collin Wiggins.

Coaching the team are Chad Garrett and J.C. Washington. An interested observer, Jason Holcomb, said the Eagles look every bit as good this year as they did last 7 on 7 season. He is looking forward to watching them compete at the state tourney
