The Fayetteville Opry Moves to St. John’s Recreation Hall

The Fayetteville Opry makes it’s debut at a new location this month. The next opry on Memorial Day , May 30th, (the last Monday of each month)will take place at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church’s Recreation Hall at 209 E. Bell St. in Fayetteville. Since this is a holiday, meals will be served earlier starting at 5:30 PM and the show will begin at 6:30 PM. We will be holding a fundraiser in conjunction with the opry. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the members of a summer basketball team made up of high school girls who played on Fayetteville’s District winning basketball team to pay for summer tournaments and lodging. The team will also be selling chopped beef sandwiches, chips and drinks.Desserts will also be available. Please help them prepare for the next basketball season.

The Fayetteville Opry provides traditional country music as well as contemporary country, western swing, cowboy, bluegrass, and country/ southern gospel music. We are honored to have Trailboss Troy from the KTEX morning radio show in Brenham as a guest singer this month. Trailboss Troy started playing drums professionally at age 12 and has played and recorded with artists such as George Strait, George Jones,Alan Jackson , Gene Watson , Mark Chestnutt, and legends Ray Price and Conway Twitty. The Country Backroads Band will return with The Peevler Brothers, John Buehler, Rick Weiss, Russel Prause, Arnie Craig, and regular Amanda Peevler.

The Fayetteville Opry charges $6 for adults and children 10 and under are free. Meal prices vary each month.

Please join us for some great country music in a comfortable environment and help the Fayetteville girl’s summer basketball team raise some money.
