Crime Stoppers can use your help in solving a theft of copper wire. Sometime between Friday, April 22, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. and April 25, 2011, 7:00 a.m., and between May 09, 2011,10:00 p.m. and May 10, 2011, 11:00 a.m., thieves went onto the property of Austin Chalk Company located at 1080 PR 7703 in Giddings and removed a large amount of copper wire.

On April 25, 2011 unknown thieves entered the Austin Chalk property, using some type of cutting instrument and cut approximately 3,000 feet of copper wire that goes from a skid-mounted water pump to a power source. On May 10, 2011, thieves came back to the property and cut approximately 300 feet of copper wire off other water pumps.
