The Giddings Public Library has many new books ready to be checked out. Star Wars: Fate Of The Jedi by Aaron Alston is a game-changing and life altering encounter of untold magnitude and a tactile of gambit with unimaginable consequences. Death On The D-List by Nancy Grace is filled with treachery when a killer targets a series of beautiful actresses, each one a former star struggling to get back in the limelight. Damaged by Alex Kava involves criminal profiler Maggie O’Dell. Special agent Maggie O’Dell places herself in the path of the deadly storm to track down the victim’s identity and killer.

Murder On Lexington Avenue by Victoria Thompson is about Detective Sergeant Frank Malloy, whose own son attends a school for the deaf, seeks assistance from midwife Sarah Brandt to investigate the killing of an influential deaf man who may have an affiliation with his son’s school. Maybe This Time by Jennifer Crusie in large print has Andie being paid to go to a middle-ofnowhere Ohio to take care of some delinquent children. Three Bedrooms, Two Baths, One Very Dead Corpse by David James takes place in Palm Springs with real estate agent Amanda Thorne. She is excited about her first big listing until she finds the dead body of environmentalist Doe Winters in the living room and, launching her own investigation, soon becomes the killer’s next target.

Discord’s Apple by Carrie Vaughn involves Evie Walker discovering a magical storeroom in a house she is destined to inherit. She finds a cache of mythological and legendary artifacts that she is charged to keep out of the hands of villains who threaten the world with apocalyptic violence.
